This comic was originally intended to go before this one, but I forgot to draw it. Anyway, I think we can all agree that in real life this kind of tactic never works. But here's hoping that "Can we skip to the part of the conversation where I get my way" becomes a catch phrase around the house.
Saturday's show: I attempted to play something off my iPod (which is possible here) and discovered that my connecting cable (my own) was, shall we say, tetchy and basically no-good. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this till I started playing the song and there was no right channel... trying to fix it, the sound went out almost completely... HELL! So I faded out and gave up. Oh well. Not a bad show in spite of it all.

Thanks to everyone who listened!
I got my first chance to give away tickets today. I said I'd take the second caller. The first caller said, "am I the second caller?" and I said "no, but if you call back quick you might be." So she said thanks, hung up, called back, and won the tickets. So yay for Shira!

I never blogged about Monday night's show. It was OK. I forgot to save the playlist, and didn't record the show, so I can't really report anything about it. The station has had some computer problems, and the network connection was down from every computer so I couldn't put the playlist in my blog or email it to myself as I usually do, and I didn't think to write it out longhand. So anyway, nothing to report. Hi.

Tomorrow night I'm subbing for another DJ, and will be on 8-10pm.
I am officially no longer a DJ at WLUW. Long story.
However, the Chicago Independent Radio Project will have a webcast soon, and I'll be a part of that. And we can still talk about music... leave me a comment if there's something on your mind.
