Completely "Out There"
In honor of Halloween, some anonymous stranger from Diablo Valley College in California has posted a rant on my blog, in the comment area. The rant seems to have been copied-and-pasted from somewhere on the internet, since it begins with the words "save/print/search".
And let me say, the rant is COMPLETELY out-there woo-hoo insane. Reading it is an exercise in incomprehensible language: I know what the words mean, but somehow the sentences do not parse. It's nothing so obvious as "colorless green thoughts sleep furiously" but the sentences simultaneously make sense and don't make sense.
To ad to the weirdness, the poster found my blog while looking for information on kim chee. The rant was posted as a comment on my
"Refrigerator Pickles" post. I think I'll leave it up for the time being.

Office life
Panel two of this week's cartoon is something I think to myself a lot. I only hope it's not something I got from Dilbert.

It's so real, what I feel
Yesterday's show.
Very embarrassingly, I overslept, after mis-setting my alarm clock (damn newfangled technology). I got to the station half an hour late. Barb was still there, and very understanding. In spite of it all, it was a pretty good show.

Ringy Dingy
The Ring Cycle continued over at
Hitched. I dunno, this might be the end of the series, unless I can think of a good third joke to follow up. But it won't be the end of Finn and Charlie! Nope.

Finn and Charlie unpack
Posted last night, a new
Hitched cartoon.
A lot of people seem to find my cartoon while searching for information on the actor Charlie Finn. Somehow, I am ranked ahead of his own site in MSN search. I guess if I'd realized there was someone named Charlie Finn I might have chosen different names for my characters. But I didn't, and it would be awkward to change them now. (After I've created a character, they take on a certain life for me, and it doesn't seem right to change things on them.)
